Ted Donner has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the DuPage County Bar Foundation, or "DCBF," since 2012. As explained on the bar association website, "the DuPage County Bar Foundation is the charitable [501(c)(3)] arm of the DuPage County Bar Association governed by a Board of Directors consisting of nineteen distinguished DCBA members. The purpose[s] of this educational and charitable corporation [include]: to foster and maintain the honor and integrity of the profession of law;to improve and facilitate the administration of justice;to promote the study of the law;[and] to acquire, preserve and exhibit rare books and documents, subjects of art and items of historical interest having legal significance...."

The DCBF played an instrumental role in the creation of the bust of Seventh Circuit Judge William Bauer which now stands just outside the entrance to the Judicial Office Facility Annex named after him. That project led to the creation of a scholarship in Judge Bauer's name which continues to provide funds to law student applicants every year. In addition, the DCBF maintains an Ambassador Scholarship Program for law students, supports the Lawyers Lending-a-Hand program and conducts fundraisers throughout the year to support a grant program for organizations in DuPage County whose work helps those struggling through the legal system for one reason or another.

Donner & Company has sponsored a number of DCBF activities, including most recently the DCBF's participation in its first 5K "Human Race" in April, 2014. For more information, visit the DCBF webpage here.
